Influences: Production-wise I’d Say Dr.Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Just Blaze, Eminem, DJ Quik, The Neptunes, Danger Mouse, Khayree, JSD, BIG-B, Lil Jon, Focus, RZA, Mr. Porter, Salaam Remi, Rick Rock, Roger Troutman, JR Rotem and Cool & Dre.
Sounds Like: My music sounds different than most. I try NOT to make beats that sound too simillar as that will become repetitive and boring. Nobody wants to hear the same type shit song after song after song... My style is versatile but you can hear my "sound" in each track. Some times it sounds like WEST COAST type shit though but shit thats where im from. I hear other peoples beats and they just arent creative and they sound classically generic. Im still working things out trying to be the best producer that I could be.
K-RAY's Heroes::
My heroes would be my father Chris Mervin Ray the 1st (RIP). Yeah he had hella kids 20 something...I am the last one so he tried until he got it RIGHT. HAHA!. Also my grandfather William (RIP). He taught me that hard work pays off and not to be lazy. Nothing comes for free in this life so work your ass off and get it yourself. My grandmother Esther for teaching me to not let anybody intimidate me and do whats right regardless of what others think. My brother Mark for being real and not letting bullshit that everyone puts out get to him. My mother for being hard on me and shaping me to be the person I am today. I know now that Im old enough to understand. Tough luv.
