About Me

I'm a singer and a songwriter who moved to Nashville in 1989. I like to tell people I was "19 and clueless". I moved here to be a star! In the last 18 years my life has had many up's and down's. I've had some "almost made it" moments. I've written and performed with some of the best singers and songwriters Nashville has to offer. I hate that I can only put 4 songs on here but maybe I can work a CD into being available over time. The songs on this profile were written by me and sung by me. Most everything I write was inspired by a time in my life. I hope you will find yourself in some of the lyrics as well! I'm going to try to do blog entries with the stories behind the songs. I hope you'll check it out! I am a two time cancer survivor and credit the good Lord for all of the gifts and blessings I have received over the years. The song The War was written about our struggles and triumphs as cancer survivors. I'm newly married and you can probably tell from my photos that my family is the most important thing in my life after God.I'm not real good at this computer thing so I hope you'll check my page often as this is truly a "work in progress"! I hope you will send comments and let me know how you like the songs and the whole page!Much love and peace to all! Heather (a.k.a. Heather Bee to my friends!)

Influences: I have been inspired by so many and my love of music goes in many different directions. As a kid I always sang to Dottie West, Crystal Gayle, Reba McIntire, and the Judds. But I've always loved Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Neil Diamond, James Taylor, and of course, Waylon Jennings was my hero! Carl in his "Johnny Jump"
