About Me

"He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much, who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men, and the love of little children, who has filled his niche and accomplished his task, who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul, who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty or failed to express it, who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had, whose life was an inspiration, whose memory a benediction"
-Bessie Anderson Stanley

And so he came, a month early. Feet first he landed into the world, taking his first breath, coming into the mad spin not quite right. In grade school he wore fluorescent shorts and wanted ...

Dubai- Land of Risk

My knuckles were white as the taxi driver wove in and out of cars, nearly adding a highway worker to his hood ornaments. By the time we got to the airport I needed a new pair of pants and my coworker ...

Alive and Changing

It's another year, another calendar flip, another swirl of seasons (unless perchance you live in California.) A possibly frightful occurrence if I am to believe the fore-telling of  my elders that the...

A Doorway Opens
