The Midnight Riders

Rockin' and Rollin'

About Me

Always admired from a distance, the Midnight Riders came together in late 2006 at Emory & Henry College with deep connections in friendship and music. A collection of extreme talent, influences, styles, and various musical journeys give the Midnight Riders a unique presence that is hard to find anywhere else. It has been described as anything from southern rock to jamband to innovative traditional genius. Most of the band hails from the beautiful mountains of Grayson County, Virginia, tying the Midnight Riders to the celebrated culture of Appalachia. Their music can be found anywhere from old time fiddle and banjo duets on the porch to electric confusion in a hazy bar. The band is a combination of the natural talents and creativity of classical musicians, songwriters, farmers, school teachers, social activists, and whoever else they can find hangin' around-- with each of 'em striving to celebrate a simplistic life full of real music.
And they're willing to play at your local bar, saloon, restaurant, private party, advertised party, fiddlers convention, and field.
