About Me

Coyote – alias Gábor Pörneczi – started his DJ career at the age of 18, in 1998. Hoping to break out of the bedroom DJ category, together with a friend, Dandy ( who’s one of the leading characters of the Hungarian house-scene today) they began organizing parties.

Indicating the success of their events and their own popularity, there was always a regular crowd of 3 – 400 gathering at their parties, which were sometimes held at exclusive locations.

Thanks to these gigs and to his live/promo mixes available on the internet, Coyote’s name became recognized, with promoters continuously inviting him to perform at the best clubs of the western Hungarian region.

The next push to his career came around 2000, from Radio Jam’s electronic dance program, called Fresh Jam. With Dandy hosting the show, Coyote was a regular guest of Fresh Jam, every second week. Due to these broadcasts, he was also a constant performer at the Atrium Club, the greatest venue on the Northern side of lake Balaton, for 3 years.

His first Budapest gigs came about the turn of the millennium as well. Coyote first flashed his electro- and minimal self to the capital az the legendary ZTM parties with more hundreds of guests. With these performances he found his way to the hearts of the journalists and the eye of the profession focused more and more on his work.

In 2003 Coyote again teamed up with Dandy, bringing about their own party-series. Titled Late Night Series, the success of their events encouraged the owner of Sopron’s legendary club, Fless to reopen his venue. Coyote, Dandy, together with Fless’ earlier residents Junkie and Hawky (they are leading characters of Hungarian minimal-scene) became the hosts of the place. The four of them wrote club history in the city throughout a year and a half. With their lead party people could enjoy some by all means professional, diverse and special athmosphered parties each week. The cream of the Hungarian DJ society have all performed at their events, they gave space to young talents and invited DJs from abroad as well.

Parallel to being Fless Club’s resident, Coyote joined the greatest promoter company of Hungary, Deadcode Production, in the second half of 2003. As a member of the team that owns the 11-year-old Hyperspace, the Hungarian techno scene’s ever leading and trendsetting party-series, new doors have opened for Coyote. He is regularly performing with the international elite of the profession, presenting his own style of electronic dance music with no limits or musical constraints.

As a performer of the top events organized by Deadcode, he has definitively proved for both the profession and the crowds, that he really has his place among the best.

Those already having him heard know that Coyote’s a true musical Freak. His sets include techno, house, rock, electro, acid, minimal, popmusic, hip-hop, basically everything that can be mixed. With his vivid, diverse, fresh and modern soundscape and his advanced attitude Coyote’s star seems to be rising unstoppable.

Don’t miss your chance to check him DJ-ing and see for yourself that
the above ain’t no Coyote bluff!
