J2 is a songwriting and production team dedicated to delivering hit songs for artists worldwide. Started by James Heald and James Russell in 2003, we have been involved in a large number of commercial projects with artists, writers and producers including Jason Donovan (Single, “Share My World†and numerous tracks on his forthcoming 2007 album), Kaci (USA Single, “TXT Meâ€), Bastiaan Ragas (ex Caught in the Act), Kim Appleby, Conor McCullagh, Vincent Degiorgio (Sony BMG), Roy Wood, Bergmann (Reykjavik Records), Mike Stock, Bob Patmore & Steve Foster (Better the Devil Records) Mickey Jo Harte (Ireland) Charlie Russell (EMI) and Steve Booker.
We work in association with Darah Music Ltd (Management for hit writer and producer, Steve Mac) and are interested in doing further co-writes with signed artists/writers. We have access to a recording studio in London which provides a very relaxing writing environment, where we can focus on what’s important…writing hit songs

We are accomplished musicians and also have access to a large network of professional session musicians with an array of credits on hugely successful albums.
