Coming off of a nation-wide tour in the summer of 2008 with his previous band Choir of the Broken, lead singer/electric guitarist Mike Almeroth set out to create a new sound. With new experiences of the music business fresh under his belt he was determined to take the small taste of musical success he'd experienced and bring it to a whole new level. After months of trying to formulate this new sound, tucson's scarcity of criterialy fit musicians and the painstaking process of assembling a new studio would prove to be a hurdle larger than he had anticipated. Voicemails and low-quality computer recordings would have to do until better equipment was available.
With the support of friends, family, and a small carry-over following, Yellow Record was born. Now with the retrospective "we had a dream" and vulnerable "a white line" rough drafts finished, and many other partial recordings in the works, the project has nowhere to go but up.
