Hi!My name is Peggy Richie and I’m a Dutch/Belgian female singer. I come from a family of musicians and being the youngest of the whole bunch I was lucky to be spoiled by all my cousins and uncles. They helped me (and still do!) with any kind of musical problem or need I had. At age 4 I started singing in church - the smallest of the choir, but with the biggest mouth! I also played in several musicals as a kid. At 16 - not even old enough to visit a club - I was the front lady of a Univerity band in Enschede called Uncle Bob (disco mainly) playing in pubs and clubs in my hometown and surroundings (pretty cool at that age!).In Groningen I met Jan Meiborg an incredible piano-man and even more incredible person! He taught me how to write songs (listen to ’So Good’), and how to deal with a big part of life actually...Then - 1996 - I moved to New Zealand where I made an extra bug singing as a bartender in an Amsterdam Pub.After one and a half year I moved to Belgium... fell in love with this country and my husband. I joined a fun coverband TimeS-sQuare - and the six of us had a real good time playing festivals and ’town’happenings.
(Against all odds with Times-sQuare)Two years ago I was lucky enough to be able to switch my dayjob for a singing carreer! Last summer I was performing at the Gentse Feesten, Belfort Rock and some Parkconcerten. I still compose songs together with Koenraad Vanderschaeve - one of my favourite piano players - FI ’Live your life’ was done with Koen. When I’m not singing I am at home with the 4 loves of my life - My hubby, our two sons - Robert 5yr and Timothy 2.5yr - and our new puppy dog Casper (who’s still learning the basics of life :) )The recordings you hear on this site are not as professional as I would like but hey... just for the fun of it!See you!
