Emmanuel Contreras Iglesias was born in Chile. Along with his parents he moved to Sweden in 1985.
In Sweden he could develop the thing he liked the most - music. He started some local bands and became their lead singer. Soon he found that this was his calling. He was always singing and dancing and worked energetic to get a chance to join the music business.
This was happening when he 1999 met the compatriot Leopoldo Mendez, known as DJ Mendez, and was asked to join the background vocals.
Adding vocals for one of Mendez own songs - the success was a fact! By the co-writing on "Madre Mia", Emmanuel felt that he liked to try developing his own carrier.
Shortly after, he was given the chance of recording at the C&N Studios in Stockholm, and the first evidence of success was the single release of "Vamos" written by Emmanuel himself. The production and arrangement was made by Anders Sjöberg and Niclas Olausson (C&N Project) and Dean Jordanovic, the producer of Antique and Da Buzz to name a few.
The single was released by SMT, Swedish Music Trading, which also connected the marketing with the tour of “The contest of Miss Sweden†including Emmanuel as the guest artist. The tour is all around Sweden from north to south, 28 different cities, and the last event will be sent on national TV.
