Born Amanda Rose Rios aka "DJ Amanda Rose," is California's fastest up and coming female deejay. In just the span of her one year deejaying career, the twenty-three year-old already has 200+ shows under her belt and has established herself as a favorite of the entertainment industry's elite in Southern California. With a brilliant ear and encyclopedic musical knowledge, the California native draws on a spectacular breadth of musical influences. DJ Amanda Rose's high-energy sets include a medley of hip-hop, electro, house, top 40, trance, freestyle, bmore, old school, new wave, rock, underground hiphop, disco, pop, funk, indie, latin, reggae, jazz and R&B.
With a fearless ability to merge genres, DJ Amanda Rose has gained acclaim for exciting crowds no matter the client or setting. DJ Amanda Rose's clients not only rely on her to capture sounds that are hot and cutting-edge, but also those that are classic and timeless. “One thing I have aimed heavily towards is versatility. It’s difficult but I pay attention to and have a passion for all genres. With this in mind I know I can adapt to any crowd or situation. One day you might find me spinning for a raging audience of 1,000+ at a rave, the next I could be at a private party mixing in Tony Bennett and Michael Buble for a bunch of senior citizens. The same day I’ll switch out of my business attire, jump into my streetwear and perform at the most uncut indoor house party in the middle of the hood. When it comes to music or people I do not discriminate.â€
DJ Amanda Rose has established herself as the soundtrack of choice for exclusive red-carpet events, fashion shows, and nightclubs throughout Southern California including 944 Magazine, Myspace Music Studios, Sutra Bar, USC Football Team, The Kress, Metal Mulisha, RZST Clothing, Ember, Crazy Horse, Ed Hardy, House of Blues, Heat Ultra Lounge, Rose Bowl ‘09 and Dodger Stadium. Some of her noteworthy performances include sharing the stage with talent like Grandmaster Flash, DJ Skribble, LMFAO, WuTang, DJ Tatiana, Far East Movement, DJ Miss Lisa, DJ Scotty Boy, DJ Drew, DJ Rashida, DJ Alex Dreamz, Scooter & Lavelle and DJ Cool Whip. “I’m still a rookie and I look at these guys as veterans so sometimes I’m overwhelmed to rock the same crowd with them. I would have to say at the end of the day all that pressure made me perform 150% better. I walk-in with butterflies and walk away with more experience.â€
Asked to describe her ability to move crowds, DJ Amanda Rose says, “I engage with my audience to make sure my personality comes across in my performances. The personal connection with the audience is not only what I enjoy most about deejaying, it’s also how I keep the dance floor packed. On top of that I emcee, sing along, and dance in my shows, all while in stilettos. I am in essence, the life of the party. I truly enjoy what I do, I always hunger for more and I never back down on a challenge. This is just the beginning.â€
Among other goals, DJ Amanda Rose aspires to begin producing her own tracks in the near future. She plans to one day perform internationally to the masses and be considered a "stadium deejay". She also hopes to inspire females around the world by creating the first all female DJ academy.
In addition to deejaying, DJ Amanda Rose likes to implement fashion and art as ways to express herself. “When I deejay, I consider myself an entertainer so I like to put on a good show. I dress to express and if I could I would add pyro, dancers and maybe a tiger or two to all my stages. One day, one day…†In Summer 2009, DJ Amanda Rose picked up two sponsorships. The first was with Headstone Boutiques, a retail supplier of trendy streetwear, sneakers, and accessories (Visit http://www.headstoneboutiques.com for more info). The second addition was with Acrylick, a Los Angeles based clothing company who makes fashion with a positive message, putting meanings behind every shirt/work/design (Visit http://www.acrylick.net for more info).
Currently, Amanda Rose is the official first lady deejay of Evilstar Productions (Visit http://www.myevilstar.com for more info). She also models for both Acrylick Clothing and RZST Clothing.
