The band was formed in the summer of 2006 by Jim Corres and the musicians are Val Delaporta , George Mavrodakos and Spiros Sklavenitis .The band's line up wasn't always this since the musical road they followed was something different than it is now.At the beginning they were more like a poser-sleaze band but as the time was passing by they felt that this kind of music didn't really match with the band's personallity.So they started to make a change, a change that took a long time to be completed...but finaly the change has come. Nowdays Heavy Dirt is a four piece group and they are making their own sound by mixing the influences of their members . The "feelling" is the most important element in their music. It's all about down to the basics , good old-fashion street-rock. Heavy Dirt combines the southern style of rock music with the power of heavy stoner rock.Get ready to listen distorted bluesy riffs and soulfull vocals mixed with heavy metal attitude.Soon a debut album will be a fact and it will include 11 tracks of pure hard'n'heavy chopper style music.
