Doggy Style began in late 1983 and featured Brad X on vocals, Ed
Caudill aka Shaggy on guitar, Ray Jimenez aka La Pulga on bass and Lou Guyez aka
Lou Dog on drums. During this period, Doggy Style released three punk classics: "Work as One," "Side by Side," and "Live at Sun City."
In 1987, Brad and Lou abruptly departed to start a new Rap band with Brian Baker (Minor Threat) and Doug Carion (Descendants) called, "Doggy Rock" (Later changed to Doggy Style). Doggy Rock released, "The Last Laugh," and disbanded soon afterwards.
The other two members of Doggy Style, Ed and Ray, rebuilt Doggy Style with new members, Mark Tolbert, Rib Finley, Danny Johnston, Greg Jones (Hedge), Tim Fyke and Bosco. They released, "Doggy Style II" and "Don't Hit Me Up," and disbanded soon afterwards.
