About Me
Concept of Lounge: Conceptualized by New York’s leading nightlife impresarios, new bi-level mini-club Dirty Disco offers an inviting alternative to over-the-top nightlife with its convergence of sleek, intimate lounge ambience and lush, glamorous style. Clubgoers could easily mistake the space for one of the city’s hippest art galleries, with its discreet entryway and sparse, modern foyer. Once inside, guests can proceed to the club’s cavernous yet cozy main floor or descend to the intimate lower level, as both spaces showcase a retro-1970s decadent theme and evoke the high-fashion sensibility of an otherworldly era.Decor: Dirty Disco’s main foyer will entice patrons inside with its smoked glass panels, a mirrored dropped chandelier and solitary hostess station. Upon venturing into the main room, guests will encounter an underlit black granite bar adorned by one-of-a-kind Danish light fixtures. The bar area opens into a intimate
lounge space, featuring cozy, low-slung banquets, an understated dance floor, and walls canvassed with retro red-and-gold leafed paper designed by world-renowned Australian artist Florence Broadhurst. Orange-domed light fixtures cast a warm glow throughout the space, which also features a step-up VIP perch with generous seating. An even cozier ambience can be found upon entering the frameless, glass-enclosed stairwell that leads to Dirty Disco’s lower level. Adorning the stairwell, as well as the walls in the space below, are magnificent nude, Helmut Newton-inspired photographs by ground-breaking artist Lane Coder. Complimenting the provocative black-and-white images on the lower level are red velvet, pin-striped wall coverings and a breathtaking, 35-foot recessed ceiling panel featuring a series of whirling, glittering disco balls that project mirrored light subtly throughout the lush, secretive room.
