Komodo is a Montreal-based musician and DJ who specialises in playing fast dub basslines on the Australian didgeridoo, as well as producing heavy beats and bass, and playing an assortment of other instruments such as Turkish ney and bendir.Komodo's DJ sets feature live performance on his instruments and showcase many of his original tracks produced specifically for his live shows. He calls these tracks Komodo Dubs.Komodo Dubs is also the name of Komodo's club night that happens regularly in and around Montreal. This night is an excuse to play dubstep and other bass-heavy sounds on a club sound system (the way it's meant to be heard), and to expose the sounds of local and international producers who are making fresh and exotic, bass-heavy, 21st-century dub music. The night is hosted by Komodo and DJ Hosta, and features guest DJs who bring their own take on the dub-bass sound, be it dubstep, garage, dancehall, dubwise, jungle, d'n'b, grime, roots reggae, dub techno or something else that is so heavy and new it doesn't even have a name yet.
