About Me

Tameca Jones, ex singer for the band 8 Million Stories, formed her newest project The Tameca Jones Quartet after she returned from an enlightening stay in San Francisco. The soulful jazz renderings of Dinah Washington and the nimble, vocal dexterity of Ella Fitzgerald opened her ears to a new form of music. Her quartet presents old standards in a modern, soulful way. While Tameca gigs with her quartet, she will continue to write new material and collaborate with Tyler Jakes, a ridiculously talented musician she met while in San Francisco. Stay tuned for new original tunes from TJ inspired by Ike and Tina, Led Zeppelin, and other notable artists of rock and soul by summer's end. MUAH!Fox Morning Show
