About my DJing:
DJ Pitchshift started DJing at the age of 17 after getting his first pair of decks (Gemini XL 300s). After 6 months he soon got to grips with mixing and got himself a pair of Technics 1200s. Although a Drum and Bass DJ he started off first playing Hard House / Trance. It wasn’t long before he was playing in clubs at nights such as Lets Av It, Superstars and R – House with DJs like 12inch Thumpers, Topgroove, Hixxy and M – Zone. He soon realised that his passions didn’t lie with Hard House / Trance and found they lied with Drum and Bass. Through this passion he met Hulls Drum and Bass DJs Connect and Poison. After meeting these two DJs he got a residency playing Drum and Bass at their event called Liquid every Thursday night at Vitro bar. After 5 months this event eventually stopped and he went on to become a resident at the Official Shinobi after party. Even with a good turn out this night only lasted two months because of a dispute with the club. But due to the popularity he had gained he landed a residency with Hulls biggest Drum and Bass event, Shinobi. Since he decided to play Drum and Bass he has played with some of the biggest DJs such as DJ’s Goldie, Hype, Scratch Perverts, Shy FX, Benny Page, Chase and Status, Garry K, Prophecy, Lemon D, Epoc live and Papa G to name but a few. DJ Pitchshift has improved greatly over the few years he has been playing and is always looking for bookings.
