Ableton Live 8 Workshop

Where: QUT Kelvin Grove Campus, Room M214
When: Thursday March 5 at 6pm
Brisbane Ableton Live collective is starting up again for 2009 with a workshop on Ableton Live 8.
The organizers, Craig McCullough and Tom Hall, will demonstrate some of the new features of Live 8 and give a run down on how Ableton has improved Live's workflow.
Craig is author of "Ableton Live Explained" and other training videos for Groovebox music, USA, and has been an alpha tester for Ableton since 2006. Tom is a sound artist and avid user of Ableton Live in many different contexts and in creative and experimental ways. He is constantly touring around Australia and internationally with solo performances, collaborations and sound art installations..Cost: The workshop is free.

Plans to date;

Over the coming year we will be holding monthly Collective meetings where we cover all issues Ableton Live related from Technical Trouble Shooting, Techniques, Midi Control and Controllers, Equipment available that works in conjunction with Ableton. The aim of the Collective is to bring together people using Ableton Live to help each other develop their skills and awareness, to grow creatively and learn the capabilities of Ableton Live
- Monthly meetings where all Ableton Live users are welcome from Beginners to Masters.
- Ableton Live Gigs in various locations around Brisbane including Collective members and International touring artists.
- Develop and maintain a regular meeting situation where we can discuss our latest projects with each other and help/advise on problems and creative development.
- Collaborations between collective members big and small.
