Myriam Filz

Originally from Vienna,Austria Myriam Filz is a versatile and gifted musician.By the age of nine she began to take piano lessons.She studied Bass at the prestigious Vienna Jazz Conservatory.During that time she alsostrengthened her vocal and compositional abilities which resulted in getting signed withBMG Ariola.Myriam and her band Alice in the Fields recorded, released and promotedthree singles and two albums in just over two years.Her hit single “Smile” reached number two on the Russian charts and number seven onthe Austrian charts.“Alice in the fields” Recordings have been released in: Austria, Germany, Switzerland.andthe Czech Republic,Russia, Israel,Hong Kong,Singapore and Australia.Her songs got featured in various movies and TV-shows including her most recentplacement of the song ‘mind’ in the RTL movie Das Papstattentat.She played bass on TV-shows ,theater productions and lots of recording sessions.On top of her demanding schedule with Alice in the Fields, Myriam became a member ofFalcos (Rock me Amadeus) last performing ensemble in late 1997.After Falcos very sudden and tragic death in 1999 Myriam relocated to the United Sates.Soon she found herself working in various projects ,touring and recording.Other artists and musicians that she has worked with are including: Roch Voisine, AnikaParis ,David Hasselhoff, Snapdragon ,Ricky Lawson, Gregg Bissonnette, Marie DigbyShe owns a recording studio where she continues to produce her own and other artistssongs. Myriam is also writing and producing instrumental tracks for TV-shows, trailersand commercials.During a recent trip back to Europe she realized how pop/rock music with germanlyrics had become very popular.
