"The Great will Always Soar Above the Mediocre, They Create While Others Destory." This is why Hugo Da Boss's creativity and passion to excel overpowers many in different genres of music today. Born as Hugo Montrose, the youngest of four, he was raised in a very educational family and was pushed to do well in school. Growing up on the west side of Harlem, right around the corner from the very popular street 125th, Hugo Da Boss grew up like every average urban survivor. What wasn't common, however, was the means by which he carried himself. Fortunately Hugo's parental background propelled him to stay out of the streets and learn the piano on a major level. He found a love for music during his early childhood. Being that he practiced hard and fell in love with the art of music, Hugo was offered and accepted a scholarship to New York's Julliard School of Music. There he excelled at Classical music as a pianist. While perfecting his craft as a pianist he noticed a love to various types of music, including hip hop, rap, pop, caribbean, and r&b. At the age of 14 Hugo began to write and produce his own songs mixing his classical music background with his Harlem hip hop swag. He found himself more and more in the studio, and more and more people began to appreciate his music. If it were possible to sum up his style, Hugo Da Boss would be a mixture of Caribbean, rap & r&b. His burning desire to pursue a music career enhanced his focus on his goals. He gives credit to Julliard School of Music for enabling him to buckle down and perfect his craft. Hugo influenced by artists such as B.I.G, Jay-Z and Nas, gradually began gravitating toward the "feel good" music in which he calls "swag music". He began listening to the likes of Ludacris, Fabolus, T.I. & Tpain. Hugo has already caught the attention of major companies for endorsement deals and acting possiblities with his fresh clean new look. But who is Hugo? Simply the next big thing
