About Me

The follow up of A Star Point's North is finally here, after a highly succesful breakthrough into the Connecticut music scene in the summer of 2007, a New Band known as "ASPN" was well on their way to much success, gaining a strong following in the Southern end of CT by performing in well known area's and venues across the state. Towards the end of '07 in such short time of being together the four piece was selected to perform in the states final of "The Bodog Battle OF The Bands" letting people know that ASPN was a band for many to look out for in the near future.
Despite few changes from it's original lineup, ASPN was started by life long friends Randy Mitchell (lead guitar/vocals) and Matt Paternoster(Drums/thoat) as music was always something that came natural for the two growing up in the small suburbs of Milford, Ct. In the early stages of 2008 another good friend, Dylan Robstock(Bass, throat) came in to fill a void left by a past departure that no other would of ever been right for. Finally after few months of writing, and the band, from the start, always lacking in one specific area, an online tryout led to the final addition of Lead Vocalist Wesly Crouch, opening up and creating the sky as the limit for this young band.
After the bands first release in 2007,The Need Of This ep has been distributed all throughout New England from the bands past shows and from their home town all the way to Austrailia in credit to online purchases that have been made in the past few months. With the full lineup being complete the band first entered Adorea Studios in Hamden,CT to work with producer Travis Bell (Bayside,The Ataris,This years Anthem, Under A Falling Sky) on what would be a short demo to get the bands newly reguvinized sound out to the public.
With big plans on their minds, and looking to expand their horizons. A Star Points North will depart on their first self-booked tour at the end of the upcoming summer, while also working with Mike Lafayette of RQR Studio's on their debut full length. With a brand new aura of sound, the band has begun making music that many their age can relate to,from the new hit "Make Believe" relating to love and the reflection of relationships that have ended, to the Intense "They Took To The Skies" , the band credits these songs from past experiences that teenagers will so often experience while growing up.
