Oh gee wiz, I like lotsa things. My primary interests currently include cars, computers, electronics, fruitless do-it-yourself projects, and breathtaking scenery (one thing Montana has no shortage of). Many people know me for my computer-hacking skills, and to a lesser extent, my numchuck skills. I have a couple of modded Xboxes, and if you do need any modding done, lemme know. Current vehiclular list: '83 Pontiac Trans Am, '90 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo AWD (blew a head gasket, but a JDM engine is on order), a massive '76 Dodge flatbed truck (good for hauling crap, going off jumps, or when the Firebird won't start), an '82 Yamaha XT200 Dual Sport bike (current daily driver), and my roommate and I share ownership of an '85 Honda CRX project car (I swear, this car might as well be a lawn ornament). Alcohol also plays an important role in my life, and while my kitchen may not always contain much in the way of edibles, there is never a shortage of inebriating libations. I'm always in need of assistance in consuming aforementioned booze, so if you think you can take me on, I'm always game. Oh, and for Christmas, a snazzy Fender electric guitar came into my life (thanks mom and dad!), so these days I spend a fair amount of time plucking my twanger.
One can never have too many friends, unless of course they live in one's mind and tell one to assasinate public officials. You can only have so many imaginary friends, though, cause after a while, it gets a little confusing trying to tell them apart.
As for what I look for in friends, I'm pretty open. Having a dry sense of humor is a plus (if you don't get my jokes, that's your problem). Being able to put up with me is also good. It's hard to make a strict list of what I look for in people. Common interests are usually what draw people together, but the spark that ignites friendship is near impossible to predict. Tell ya what: lemme buy ya a pint and we'll see what happens.
I'm a fan of all music, but prefer music that was created as an actual artistic endeavor and not just for making money (in other words, pre-1989). When I was but a young boy, for some reason I listened to big band, ragtime, and hits from the 40s and 50s. Through the teenage years, it was oldies from the 60s and 70s. Over the past few years, I've been immersing myself in 70s and 80s pop and rock. Oh, and disco ain't dead, damnit!.
If anyone asks, my favorite flick is Bullitt, circa 1968, starring Steve McQueen. But there's something to like in just about any flick. Action, sci-fi, comedy, drama, lesbian porn... They're all good. My favorite movies to quote include the Matrix, Pulp Fiction, the Big Lebowski, Snakes on a Plane (given, there is only one good quote from this movie), and any of the Monty Python movies. "Oh but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!"
I grew up on the Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park (what is it about animated sitcoms...). I'm also actually a fan of Buffy, Angel, Firefly, The O.C., the Dukes of Hazzard, MASH (who isn't?), and Knight Rider. My current addiction, though, is a British car show called Top Gear, but it doesn't air here in the states, and there are no DVD sets of it, so the only way to get episodes is to download them. Also, since the O.C. got cancelled, I've been pretty addicted to Heroes. Pretty much all episodes from those shows have been stockpiled on my server, so let me know if there's something you want.
Ah yes, reading is great, or so all these posters in libraries keep telling me. Haven't been reading as much as I should. I mostly stick with mystery and crime novels: Agatha Christie, Donald Westlake, etc. Nothin' like a good classic, though. Catch-22 is one favorite. The most recent ones include Angels and Demons, the Da Vinci Code, and the new Harry Potter. Oh, and I did just finish I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max .
Well.......... This is a tough one..... I'll go with Steve McQueen. But Tucker Max is a close second.
