I have been playing the bass since my good bass playing friend Yatim Halimi showed me whatthose 4 long shiny metal twangy things were used for. That was in Singapore 1984 while Iwas serving in the New Zealand Army Band. After a stint in Australia, I went and lived inLondon for a couple of years and ended up playing in a resident band in a caberet gig whichhad me busy for 18 or so months. I then got offered a contract to work for 6 months inSpain at the Expo 92 in Seville. That led to me meeting my wife, settling down and having acouple of kids. My Aussie mate Brent Larkham put a band together and we started working inbars around southern Spain. If you keep doing something long enough, sooner or later itcomes around and the later part of 1999 and up to now, has had me involved in a widevariety of projects. From rock to flamenco, country to salsa.
