Cambodian Connections

In 2000 I went to work as a nurse in The Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I already had a love for South East Asia and had jumped at the opportunity to go spend two and a half years there. I had an expectation of what the work would entail but I had not thought about other aspects of life in Cambodia. What I discovered was so far beyond my expectations, a country rich in history both ancient and modern, a landscape beautiful and inspiring and a people so gentle and giving with the widest smiles I have ever seen.I want this space to show the great work of the Angkor Hospital for Children ( www.angkorhospital.org ), the beauty of the Temples of Angkor and the serenity of the country in its everyday life.
