We, just like you, want firstly for England to succeed in international cricket. Nothing made us happier than to see England beat the Aussies and claim Ashes victory in 2005. Likewise, it breaks our hearts to see the one day squad struggle as it does. There is a reason for this, we don't take advantage of powerplays. We are 20% down on other sides after 20 overs; thats official. And until we start scoring more runs in the first 20 overs, we will continue to lose too. Thats where Malachy Loye comes in. Is there a finer player in England at taking advantage of fielding restrictions? If there is I haven't seen one. With his trademark slog sweep and power hitting, Mal would give us the start we badly need. He is more than just a 'pinch hitter' too. Just ask any Lancashire or Northamptonshire fan.
