Innovative, Creative, Cultural, D'Jazz Productions founder, Thierry DeJean
is a native New Yorker but originally born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. At an early age he started playing the piano, which remained a part of his life throughout his adulthood. Realizing that music was in his blood, he started playing keyboards with popular local and regional bands. Always seeking ways to grow musically, he began composing, producing and arranging for aspiring as well as established artists and musicians.Over the past few years he’s composed and produced for up & coming artist on numerous CD projects, including his own,"D'Jazz Compilation Vol.1: R&B for the New Millennium,. He has then continued to record such projects as, Soul artist Angela Shella's -"Pretty Songs", Gospel artist Natasha William's-"Dwelling in the Secret Place" Christian group "The Crusaders"from Ghana, Japan’s Jazz/R&B Sensation "Reddyo" Acknowledgement, and"Stars on Broadway" Never Alone," which he co-wrote and arranged 10 of the tracks. The title song "Never Alone,"remained ....2 on radio WTHE 1520 AM's playlist for several weeks. Most recently he’s completed work on the inspirational CD "The Family Gospel Project".All of these projects were recorded in his studio.He’s also had the pleasure of working/performing/sharing the stage with various recording artists such as, Alyson Williams, Phyllis Hyman, Wendy Moten, Freddie Jackson, Dave Koz, Fantasia, India Arie, world beat group "Osmoses", Gospel Group "Minister & Friends"& The Isley Brothers
and just recently with the carribbean group "Strings" just to name a few.
For the last 2 years, he’s been fortunate enough to have performed at the
St. Lucia Jazz Fest. and recently The Jamaica Jazz & Blues Fest. On Sunday’s, he plays keyboards for the Praise & Worship teamWhen he’s not performing or creating music, he spends time teaching music theory & composition.
As of July 2005, He’s made Miami his new home and he’s currently working on a smooth jazz CD that will feature some of NY/Miami's top musicians."His goal is to become a producer that will change the face of the music industry," and have hit songs on an eclectic array of charts -- including Country!"..
