/all.htmlWicked Hickie started in 2004 with Kevin Nicholas (vocals, guitar), Shawn Farris (lead guitar), Pat O. (bass), and Brian Slayed (drums). After a year or so and a five song demo (Havin' a Quickie), Kevin moved to Idaho, then Texas. Shortly after, Brian moved to San Francisco and Pat O. was going to be a daddy. No one was jammin', and it seemed the band was done forever. In the summer of 2006, Kevin moved back and started playing with Rob Berthelson (drums). Just having fun and swillin' some beers was the only goal. A little later the two made a couple of phone calls to Shawn and Pat O., and had a little jam. They had fun, but things were uncertain. Pat O. had a newborn and a job that had him working all the time. Kevin and Rob kept working on the old Wicked Hickie songs and started writing a couple of new songs. Shawn would play sometimes and they jammed with Russ Allsup (DAM) on bass here and there. After a show, just for fun in Turlock, it seemed the band just might be worth salvaging. Then something happened! While buying some drum equipment at guitar center, Rob saw an ad for a female singer (Lauren Peterson) looking for a band. He made the call and she came over for a jam. So after a few practices, they started recording and booked a couple of shows. After 10 shows the band has begun to make a name for itself, and are preparing itself for the next level! As much as they all love Pat O., he just did'nt have the time to do what the rest of the band were wanting to do, which is play ALOT! So they brought in Greg (Bones) Smullen on bass and are ready to ROCK! Come out and see a show, or contact Wicked Hickie about playing a show in your town!
