Khin Myint
Hailing from the world’s most isolated city, Khin’s lyrical songs and passionate performances have grown to be cherished by fans around his home continent. Khin arrived on Australia’s folk music scene in 2005 with the release of his debut album and has since played hundreds of intimate venues as well as performing at some of Australia’s big festivals. Open-hearted and casual onstage, Khin is a live performer who mixes songs and storytelling in an easygoing, occasionally haunting and sometimes hilarious way. Described as ‘Irresistable and authorative’ by Groove magazine, Khin is a unique solo performer worth catching live. Radio-wise Khin’s music has featured on BBC, ABC, SBS and RTRFM. www.myspace.com/khinmyint

& Mador-House and Langer- sax duo
Nathan Mador-House is a graduate from the Etobicoke School of the Arts, majoring in Performance Saxophone. Continuing his education, he is majoring in Music Education with a focus on Saxophone. Since Nathan has an interest in anything musical, he is often seen carrying around an assortment of cases, containing anything from a flute, to a didgeridoo. Also look out for his musical duo under the name of "Alex and Elsie'
Micah Langer grew up in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, right outside of a university town and just an hour away from both New York and Philadelphia. It was in this richly cultural location that he began playing saxophone during Grade 5. Before entering the performance program at the Schulich School of Music, he played in jazz and funk bands, wind ensembles, and orchestras in and around his home town. Now that he's been transplanted into Montreal, he's grateful to be laying down musical roots in such a creative environment.

Mathias Kom and Marie - Josee Houle A ukulele-slinger and singer-songwriter who just turned thirty but only looks twenty-nine, Mathias Kom has spent the last couple of years playing music across Canada, Europe and Israel. Whether with his 13+ member circus folk orchestra The Burning Hell or all by his lonesome, occasional history teacher Kom has won hearts and ears with his tragicomic baritone tales of woe and whimsy. While the Burning Hell has recently followed up their critically acclaimed 2008 release “Happy Birthday” with their brand new album “Baby”, Mathias himself is busy all by himself as well, touring variously with ally and fellow songwriter Kim Barlow, accordion genius Marie-Josee Houle, and finishing an upcoming solo record.

Friday July 03, 2009 Susan Werner
With 6 albums under her belt, an active touring career throughout the U.S. and a string of accolades from the likes of The Washington Post, The Village Voice and The New Yorker, Susan Werner has become one of the defining artists of the folk music genre. Her songs effortlessly slide between folk, jazz and pop, and are delivered with a sassy wit and classic midwestern charm.
"Susan Werner, a clever songwriter and an engaging performer, brings literacy and wit back to popular song." -The New Yorker "(Susan Werner is) a triply blessed artist who sings adroitly, plays the piano smartly and, best of all, writes songs of genuine distinction and high craft..." -Chicago Tribune
