Electric Druids

Swansea, Wales, UK, somewhere in the last millennium: "So we've got a Beer Festival next Saturday and every band has cancelled" complained Jon Crossick, promoter for the Swansea University Xmas Beer Festival, "Gibbs, you've got to get a band together within a week or we're screwed!" ...and so, thanks to Andy Hunt, Sam Miller and Barry Dwyer, the Electric Druids were unleashed in their first incarnation and to their surprise went down well enough to secure a good few more gigs in and around Swansea and go on to win the following year's Battle of the Bands. Since then they recorded 3 EPs and played all over the UK up until July 2005 when the last UK line-up played the Red Lion in Ramsgate and said their farewells. By October 2005 though and now based in Victoria, Canada, rehearsals started with the first North American line-up and by Jan 2006 the EDs were pleased to be gigging again. A good deal of writing was done last year and now in 2009 we're completing recording and mixing to get some new material out to you, in the meantime please enjoy the four songs from previous EPs Vona and Nemesis and hope to see you out there soon!
