My name is Rachel. My friends like to call me Rach, Ray Ray, Snoop, etc. I pretty much respond to anything. I grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA which is about an hour north of LA. I was a dork in grade school, then somehow became popular in 8th grade. Of course, then it was time to start high school and be a Freshman. Once again, a dork.
In my Junior year of high school a friend of mine asked me over to his house to learn how to do "tricks" on rollerblades and that started what has so far been 10 years of the thing I've had the most passion for in my life.
I never thought I'd leave TO, but when I was 18, my mom was asked by her brother to move to NYC and being that I was her only family in Cali she went. I moved in with my dad and step mom and they really encouraged me to go to college...away from home.
I ended up at Long Beach State and lived between Long Beach and Huntington for about 6 years. Probably my favorite place that I've lived. I had so many good times and met so many great people down there. In fact, some of them are the best friends I've ever had. Of course, now most of us are living in different states, but that's where this little website comes in ever so handy.
I now have a great job, a great boyfriend and a great first home. Bought a condo in September of last year and have been trying to make it feel more like a home ever since.
I love being outside (except when I feel like being lazy and lying on the couch watching tv). I've recently been asked to play on a co-ed softball team and am really looking forward to having something fun to do during the week and meeting new people. If there's one thing about Reno that is for sure, it's that it's hard to meet people here. It's such a transient place and the people who have been here forever are already set in their little cliques.
