I love to help people. Whatever I do in life, it boils down to that. If I’m not helping people, what’s the point?
I’m a mortgage broker and love it! Finding the perfect loan for a client is a bit like playing a strategic game of chess. I gather all the information from my client, solve any problems I see along the way and then present them with the best loan program for their needs, insuring a victory for one and all. (I have been playing chess ever since I was a kid and enjoy a good challenge).
Many people do not have basic information about what lenders need and want and therefore are in mystery as to how to get a good loan. They have no one to talk to, no one to educate them (except perhaps the bank, which has its own agenda). I offer a free mortgage consultation to whomever will take me up on it. Given enough time a person can over come any credit hurdles and can qualify for a good loan.
My favorite kind of loan is a unique product where I can actually cut the monthly mortgage payments in half! This loan is a little tricky and is very important to understand, so my branch hosts weekly seminars to educate people. How many mortgage brokers do that? More should. When it is fully understood it’s a powerful product.
The thing I love about our company is that we go the next step and make sure that the loan we select meshes with the client’s financial plan. My husband is a fully licensed financial consultant, so I make sure that all my clients meet with him for a free financial analysis. That way they know what to do to achieve financial freedom. Plus we want to make sure that we help the client invest the savings we achieved from the mortgage program.I can also train anyone to be highly successful in the business, regardless of their prior experience. I have a lot of people on my team who are brand new to mortgages. Helping people succeed in our business is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. Not only do I get to help my clients, but I help my associates.
It is a joy to wake up each morning, excited to go to work! How many people get to say that?
