Anthony Musso was born and raised in the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York. After a brief move to Jamaica Estates, Queens and then to Long Island, he relocated in the mid-1980s to upstate New York's Hudson Valley region. Having a passion for history and photography, he quickly embraced the region for its various historic sites, rolling farmland and captivating views of the distant Catskill Mountain range. In 2005, Musso released his first published work, "FDR and the Post Office," which was stimulated by years of research done at the nearby Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York.Later that year, while giving countless presentations in support of first his book, Musso began to conduct personal interviews with recording artists that began their careers during the infancy of the rock and roll era after he discovered a large number of inaccurate accounts in their respective biographies. In all, 100 artists were interviewed for what became a two-volume book set titled "Setting the Record Straight; the music and careers of recording artists from the 1950s and early 1960s...in their own words."The book(s) feature solo artists such as Connie Francis, Chubby Checker and Bobby Vee, along with founding members of legendary vocal groups that includes the Drifters, Supremes, and Buddy Holly's original Crickets.
