The story of this band began when two reasonably shaggy blokes, Hata and Sammy met at school in the city of Turku, Finland in 1999. They weren´t a major source of happiness for their teachers, especially when they decided RLto form a school band. They had a few gigs at school, but other than that, not much was happening. The other members of the band weren´t too involved, so a big part of the time was used for drinking and other activities. After a while Hata and Sammy got bored and they decided to continue on their own. After several ads in local music stores and a few miserable drummer candidates later, the lads found a guy called Pasi. He was really cutting it and got the job. Also, the name Strikin´ Case was first brought up around this time, meaning the year 2000. With Pasi onboard it was time for some serious rehearsing. When it came down to still missing band mates, there wasn't too much going on. Because of the slow progress, Pasi got frustrated and since he wanted to play and gig, he decided to leave the band. After Pasi´s announcement, Hata fleetingly lost his interest in rock´n´roll circles and decided to join a blues band. Luckily Sammy talked some sense to him.Briefly before Pasi´s departure Hata had seen an ad on the Internet where a singer was looking for a band. The singer was called Sean. Sean had moved to Turku from another town and was now ready for new challenges. With nothing else to do, all three decided to join a cover band called Slingshot. After it was clear that Sean could sing, it was time for rehearsing and some gigging. Eventually the lads got bored playing "all time favourites" and decided to leave the band. Now was the time to get Strikin Case back on track. On one drunken night they bumped into Pasi, the former drummer of the band. The boys had a chat and it was clear that Pasi was willing to join the band again. A week later this fancy looking bass player, named Terry Star, entered the rehearsal room. The band just clicked and Terry was in.The first official gig of Strikin´ Case took place two months later in the military base of Säkylä. Although the set list still consisted purely of cover songs, the main goal was to write original songs. After the show the guys knew they could really rock the place live too.The first result of the new collaboration was a song titled Here We Go, which emerged from the first jam sessions of Sean and Hata. Since that day the band have written several songs together and more are coming on a constant basis. In December 2004 Terry decided to leave the band to start his own project. We wish all the best for Terry. Thanx. It took year and a half to find a new bass player but finally in April 2006 a man walked in the room and played like we wanted to. So here we are now and more is still coming, so stay tuned!
