Highly regarded as one of the finest guitarists in the UK, receiving several local and nationwide awards, Merseyside's Gary Murphy's guitar playing has a very unique and diverse style, on both the electric and acoustic guitar.
Playing from an early age, Gary has played all over the UK, Europe and has successfully toured Belgium many times over, headlining several festivals. After playing with several bands, including 'Casino' with his brother Larry, and the successful recording band 'Hotel', Gary decided to perform solo. With several albums including the multi award winning and highly acclaimed 'Here Comes the Rain', and 'Dangerous' his performances offer a diverse style of guitar classics and own material, on both electric and acoustic guitar.
Winning best guitarist on merseyside three times in recent years from The Buz Magazine, and his albums having regular airplay on BBC Radio Merseyside, his guitar playing is considered second to none by fans and critics alike. Gary has played several festivals in Belgium and the UK, The Liverpool Empire, The Liverpool Philharmonic Theatre, The Liverpool Echo Arena, The Pacific Road Theatre and several performances at The Floral Pavilion Theatre.
After playing the International Guitar Festival every year since it first began in 1986, in 2005 he and close friend Paul Brooks had huge success performing their stage show of Jeff Wayne's 'War of the worlds' and wowed a sellout audience at The Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton.

The debut show was a huge success with rave reviews. Guitar Legends then appeared in Liverpool for the first time at The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in 2008.
