sometimes the most important things that are said are said to music.
My name is Rhian Westbury, I don't have any nicknames really, but feel free to call me pretty much anything, i'm not bothered. I am 19 years old which I think is the best age to be, cause you're not a newly turned 18 year old but you're still a teenager. I am shit scared of turning 20, I don't want it to happen, so I don't want 2009 to end really. I currently live in Watford- I really like where I live, it's near to everything and when I can't travel somewhere I jump into my car and I am sorted. Driving is something I love doing, it's really relaxing.
I have just finished my first year at Brunel University [it's in Uxbridge!] studying Creative Writing, so when I go back I actually need to start working which I am not looking forward to, I like being lazy, ha! I love my uni it's such a nice place and I love all the amazing people that i've met there and have the pleasure of calling my friends, they make my life wayy more interesting :] And we have fun nights out which make for fantastic memories. I love taking photo's, you'll probably find if I go out in a single night I will take hundreds of photos, and I love going to gigs and taking photos of lovely bands :]
I would class myself as a happy person, I love to smile and make people smile and I don't cry very often. I don't see the point being sad cause there's always something to smile about :] Special friends, special bands and good music makes me smile the most! ♥
Live music is the best way to hear music and the atmosphere is awesome, I love travelling randomly to shows to just see bands i've seen masses before, there are not many bands I wouldn't see live because why not. Until I have major responsibilites I am going to waste all my money on music and travelling because why not!
I work selling diamonds and pretty jewellery in H Samuels in the Harliquin Centre Watford, and I love my job most of the time except when I don't sell much and that makes me annoyed! ha. I am a supervisor so I get to have power and be in charge a lot which is always good!
Normally I don't write long about me's but I thought now why not, people don't read these anyway so it doesn't matter and I feel like typing away! ha
My most treasured possessions are my memory books, I have currently started number 2, and it documents every gig i've been to in the last few years and lots of other fun things that i've done, it reminds me of how much fun i've had and how amazing my friends and bands are. It documents and reminds me of amazing and special shows. For example the first time I saw My Passion back in October 2006 at the Pioneer in St Albans, or the first time I saw The Broadcast in Bedford on 11th April 2008, the first time I saw gallows in early 2005 in Watford and when I travelled to Ireland just to see BMTH. Fun times :]
My friends keep me sane and I love how even though some of my friends have uprooted and gone to different unis across the country we still chat loads and when we see each other it's like we'd never been apart. Being with my friends mean that whatever we do seems like fun, be it drinking, clubbing, going to the cinema, going to gigs or just sitting around doing nothing much. The people who mean most to me make me smile no matter what and I don't need to go through lists of names cause I should make them feel loved enough to know who they are.
If you look at my calendar your see one band who appear on there numerous times, The Broadcast. I've only known them for just over a year [Friday 11th April 2008] but I honestly can't think of a single band that i'd travel further to see and I can't think of a nicer bunch of guys. I wouldn't travel that far just to see a good live show, i'd only go if the band made me feel welcome and they do, so they pretty much take up a big proportion of my life: but they're worth it.
