About Me

Am I human or am I dancer, well both actually. I was born in the deliciously named Rottenrow maternity hospital, Glasgow in the middle of the 1970s. I stared playing guitar around 1987 and started a band soon after.

Influences: One of the first things that made me want to pick up a guitar was watching a video called Elvis '56, standing there strummin that big old acoustic guitar just looked like the coolest thing in the world. This soon led me to discovering other Rockabilly greats of the 50's notably Eddie Cochran who played the best looking guitar I've ever seen, a big orange Gretsch with a whammy bar! A direct link from there brought me up to the early 80's with the discovery of the Stray Cats, this was about 1988 when I was about 13 years old and 1980 seemed like a long long time ago, In these days before the internet it was difficult to find information about such an obscure band, but I had the records and that was enough for the time being. Luckily in these Stock Aitken and Waterman days I had two friends of a similar musical persuasion to me.
