In summer 2005 the guitarist and singer Martin (ex Rockangels)
and the guitarist and drummer Robin (The Leeches) founded Marogreen.
At first it was just a side-project but some weeks later the bassist Ricardo
and the drummer Felix joined them and just after a few sessions the guitarist Merten (The Leeches) completed the band. But just two months, one gig and some disagreements later, Merten decided to leave Marogreen.
After a cold winter with many trouble inside the band, the vocalist Lisa joined the band. In this formation the genre of the music was aternative and german poprock.They played 2 gigs together and made some demo-recordings but after that Lisa changed her mind and left Marogreen. Since this day, Robin was responsible for vocals. The style changed into alternative rock and with a new setlist they played 2 more gigs. In december 2006 Marogreen had to leave their rehearsal room, so they didnt know where to go. In this time Felix decided to leave the band.
With the new year 2007 a new drummer, Philipp, joined and they got a new rehearsal room and in this new formation they started to create their own style of music. For one and a half year they rocked many stages and also made some new demo-recordings. But somehow Philipp lost his interest in playing drums and left the band. Just two weeks after that, we found a new drummer. his name is Richard and he fits in perfectly so now we can kick rock'n'roll asses again! In Fall 2008 we made our first semi-professional recording in our rehearsal room and the result is now available on our new CD.
2009: Just shortly after our gig in Berlin we decided to change our style to some kind of blues or blues-Rock. This and our will to have more rehearsals were the reasons why Ricardo had to leave the band and now Martin will be responsible for the Bass. We hope we will stick together in this new formation for a while.
