sweetbeatz is a project that celebrates music, theatre and family. Meredith Wright, a vocalist and performer, runs early childhood programs in the day and participates in the downtown theatre scene afterwards. She has worked with numerous artists including The Yara Arts Group, La Mama ETC, musical exchanges with the National Theatre of Buryatia, and has had the pleasure of working with composers and playwrights and directors that include Liz Swados, Alva Rogers, Janice Lowe, Ellen Stewart, Virlana Tkacz, Maryana Sadovska, Franscisco Mora Catlett, Andrei Serban. She combines her experiences of old school R&B, world music, and jazz with her love of storytelling to create original songs that are sweet and soulful, edgy and energetic. Join her as she turns the everyday routines in life into a wonderful musical odyssey.
