Born in Perth WA, I moved all over Australia with my father
who was in the RAAF. Dad's last move occurred when he
retired after 20 years, and it was to his home, Canberra. We lived there for five years. I call Canberra home as it's the longest place I've lived. In February 2005, I got the guts and moved myself to Sydney to continue with my freelance career in modelling and makeup artistry, leaving family and friends behind. During 2004, I was travelling every weekend, or every second weekend, to Sydney for work, so I thought - heck why not move there?
I've been in Sydney now for nearly 5 years, and met my now wonderful husband, Dean, 6 months after moving here. We got married on the 8th of August 2009 in the gorgeous Kurrajong Hills. I currently work full time as customer service team leader in internal sales for a sanitary ware company and I freelance as a qualified makeup artist, model and I do mobile spray tanning..
I've been modelling since the age of 14 when my mother
entered me into my first catwalk competition. I clearly
remember when I made the finals, and was asked by the
organiser who my all time idol was, I answered Olivia Newton John. I still have that special moment on DVD - of course my mum recorded it. I've been doing photo shoots since the age of 16. Though some may class me as a plus size model, I'm not ashamed of that. I am 175cm tall and I'm in proportion.
I'd love to get into more aspects of modelling - for
magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and
Harpers Bazaar. I'm not really interested in Ralph and FHM
magazines. I studied my makeup artistry at the Canberra
Make-up Academy, and have been a qualified make-up artist
for 5 years. In total, I have been doing makeup for 6
years, and this is a true passion of mine and I love what I
do.
Currenly, I work in partnership with Bill Zunic getting together our Nitro! Babes for Nitro! magazine. I organise all the applications from models, book them in for a photoshoot, do all hair and makeup, and we head out on location - generally to WSID - to do our shoot for the magazine. Bill writes up the editorials and sends the girls in. If you are interested in being a Nitro! Babe, be sure to email me, with your interests, a little about yourself and some photos.
Thanks for checking out my page - come back soon and keep me company.
