Go ask Alice, Making Faces, Parfume, Christiane F, Valley of the dolls. I like a lot of nonfiction about unusual things. I am currently reading Stiff which is about the history of cadavers. Unfortunateley, I do not make enough time to read and it takes forever to get through anything. I love when people recommend good books for me to check out. Oh, I love The Hedonist Handbook! You should read it it's so inspirational.
