About Me

"Hapiness is a journey, not a destination Work like you don't need money Love like you've never been hurt And dance like no one's looking"------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ I was born 1979 in the southern part of Sweden. I grew up in a very calm community and I picked up the trumpet when I was 12 years old. I have studied music for a long time. I spent six years in a little town called Arvika where I took my Master Of Education In Music. I then moved to Stockholm and spent two years at the Royal College of Music. I now work as a trumpetplayer for Celebrity Cruises. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------

Band Members: I hope you like the music! The songs "Vem Ska Betala","En Kärlekshistoria" and "Höger Hand" is from the record "Så Där" with singer Patrick El-Hag. I´m playing and I also did the arrangements! The song "Tracks" is one of my compositions and recorded live with my Quartet in May 2006. The members are:Thomas Nilsson-Trumpet/Flugelhorn Joakim Simonsson-Piano Tobias Grenholm-Bass Anders Olsson-Drums................................................ ........................................The song "Train" is sung and written by my friend Åsa Danell. She asked me if I could play a solo on that and I did. I think it worked out just fine. I love to play songs like that. Hope You like it too.... ............................................................ ...
Influences: Like every other trumpetplayer I listen to Miles and Clifford. But right now I find myself listening to "younger" trumpetplayers like Wynton Marsalis and of course my greatest inspiration: Chris Botti.I also listen to classical music and I have just discoverd a trumpetplayer named Alison Balsom. She´s just amazing! She plays the trumpet so relaxed and with such a great tone.I´m also in to the Big Band music style. Please check out Gordon Goodwin´s "Big Phat Band". You gonna get real inspired to practise and playing Big Band music when you hear them. Listen to Wayne Bergeron and the way he plays lead trumpet. I don´t think I have ever heard anything like that. He rocks!!!! Hope to meet him someday but I don´t think I ever will....You also want to check out Dream Theater!!! I listen to them every day and I have had the privilege to see them live here in Stockholm!! This is music that is far from jazz but I just love their songs.
