The New Orleans Brown Stripes

About Me

Guitar sorcerer Jimbo Walsh (The Naked Orchestra, The Other Planets, Improvisational Arts Council, Michael Ray and the Cosmic Krewe, Diesel Combustion Orchestra, Sexahol, Rambis, Klezmer All- Stars, list goes on forever and ever...) and volcano drummer J. Steigner (I, Octopus, Rambis, Diesel Combustion Orchestra, Improvisational Arts Council, Sexahol) have been jamming with each other in different bands since 2004. The Brown Stripes formed while Jay was taking private composition lessons from Jimbo at Loyola University during Spring of 2005. After the lesson Jimbo and Jay would hang out and have some improvised jams. One day they decided that since their jams were usually swampy and ass slammingly loud, and since they were a guitar and drum duo that it would be funny to name the band The Brown Stripes. Since that day the Brown Stripes have been relentlessly thrashing with no remorse. All of their songs are completely improvised but always contain one ingredient: balls to the wall, slamming force of sonic energy that will make your head explode into a million pieces.MP3'S COMING SOON! all our previous recordings were way to long to fit on the site
