About Me

"If we were not all so interested in ourselves, life would be so uninteresting that none of us would be able to endure it." -Arthur Schopenhauer................................................ ......................................"I'm happiest when I'm shooting the movie. Filming is like sex. Writing the script is like seduction, then shooting is like sex because you're doing the movie with other people. Editing is like being pregnant, and then you give birth and they take your baby away. After this process is done, I will watch the movie one more time with a paying audience that doesn't know I'm there, and then I will never see it again. I'm so sick of it."-Jim Jarmusch.................................................... ............................................................ ...... "If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is: infinite."-William Blake....................................................... ............................................................ ....."I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ ....................."I would believe only in a God that knows how to Dance." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ..................................................... "And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... .................................................... "Judgments, value judgments concerning life, for or against, can in the last resort never be true: they possess value only as symptoms, they come into consideration only as symptoms - in themselves such judgments are stupidities." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ ..."To find everything profound - that is an inconvenient trait. It makes one strain one's eyes all the time, and in the end one finds more than one might have wished."-Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ ..........."On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ "Not when truth is dirty, but when it is shallow, does the enlightened man dislike to wade into its waters." -Friedrich Nietzsche ............................................................ ............................................................ ...................................... "The overman...Who has organized the chaos of his passions, given style to his character, and become creative. Aware of life's terrors, he affirms life without resentment."-Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ ......................................... "It says nothing against the ripeness of a spirit that it has a few worms." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ .... "Digressions, objections, delight in mockery, carefree mistrust are signs of health; everything unconditional belongs in pathology."-Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ ........................... "It is always consoling to think of suicide: in that way one gets through many a bad night." -Friedrich Nietzsche................................................... ............................................................ .................................. "And so I leave this world, where the heart must either break or turn to lead." -Nicolas-Sebastien Chamfort, French writer, d. 1794........................................................ ............................................."The first and great commandment is: Don't let them scare you." -Elmer Davis

My Interests

making movies and writing.NIRVANA by Charles Buckowski Not much chance, completely cut loose from purpose, he was a young man riding a bus through North Carolina on the wat to somewhere and it began to snow and the bus stopped at a little cafe in the hills and the passengers entered. he sat at the counter with the others, he ordered and the food arived. the meal was particularly good and the coffee. the waitress was unlike the women he had known. she was unaffected, there was a natural humor which came from her. the fry cook said crazy things. the dishwasher. in back, laughed, a good clean pleasant laugh. the young man watched the snow through the windows. he wanted to stay in that cafe forever. the curious feeling swam through him that everything was beautiful there, that it would always stay beautiful there. then the bus driver told the passengers that it was time to board. the young man thought, I'll just sit here, I'll just stay here. but then he rose and followed the others into the bus. he found his seat and looked at the cafe through the bus window. then the bus moved off, down a curve, downward, out of the hills. the young man looked straight foreward. he heard the other passengers speaking of other things, or they were reading or attempting to sleep. they had not noticed the magic. the young man put his head to one side, closed his eyes, pretended to sleep. there was nothing else to do- just to listen to the sound of the engine, the sound of the tires in the snow.
