Ok this site is for all of you who loved the 80's rock and are from our area and era and will remember york's #1 rock club for years SWIZZLES! yes we here to put together a swizzles runion and are looking for bands that would like to play or reunite for a 20th aniversary concert in York P.A. for those of you who do not remember swizzles (615) rock room here is what it is about.....25 years ago the "615' was born after a couple of years it was called numbers,then the origanal Market street saloon then they dicided to have big name bands come in and change the name to swizzles, the club took off with the great band promotion of a guy named dave ness he booked major head line bands like : foghat,malice,helix,faster pussycat,keel,wendy o williams,raven,overkill,nuclear assault,bonham,pat travers,faster pussycat,sweet savage,british steel and lots more! but what made this little club famous was the local bands that made it big! like:kix,poison (paris then),wrathchild,roxx gang,heavensedge,harpo,hybrid ice,dc star,childs play,sharks,manakin,teeze & live was some of the big local groups who had some big times but I think what really made our swizzles was our hometown hero bands that would pack the house every week like:hyde your daughters, backtalk,wizzard,back street kids,dead end kids,r-o-t,bad attitude,killer hit,sly boots,great train robbery,teachers pet,fair warning,seige,bashful and lots more that i sure you can help me remember????????????
this club also responsable for some of the areas top dj's like; uncle igor,sally viciuos,kranking keih and pat regan.
every weekend this would be the place to be for the 80's best rock bands (to many to name) for over 10 great years! thanks 2 u all! now lets reunite for the 20th year
