Alex Ryon is a Dutch jazz/pop singer who got his musical education in Groningen, The Netherlands. His self-titled debut album has been released on the SOPH label in 2007. The album features numbers varying from jazzy arranged pop songs to restrained ballads. The album is produced and arranged by "Pitch Pine Project" bandleader and bass player Udo Pannekeet. In this critically acclaimed debut you'll find refreshing renditions of songs from the best songwriters including: Bruce Hornsby, George Harrison, Michel Legrand, James Taylor and Roger Waters. Some of Holland’s best musicians contributed to this project like 2004 Bird Award winner guitarist Martijn van Iterson, drummer Chris Strik and saxophone player Tom Beek.
