Yumi Mano

About Me

She has been singing variety of music, R&B, Soul, Hard Rock, Folk, Country since Jr. high but she is most talented in singing Blues. She has performed at many great clubs in Japan and the United States.

Yumi has had great opportunities to perform with great musicians who are internationally well-known. Cyril Neville, James Gadson, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, George French, Shinji Shiotsugu to name few.

Most influenced by Koko Taylor and Billie Holiday, both are so different styles but have one common soulful and spiritual expression through singing as great storytellers about women's joy and pain. And that's what Yumi is great at. She has powerful voice like Koko and is exquisite as Billie.
