That lass was AinaThe idea of The Blackthorn Alliance was born in October 2004 at 31st midnight when four Drama school students were celebrating All Hallows Eve.At the age of 16 someone gave Lydia a few black magic books. She liked them so much that she passed the point of no return; she began practicing real black art. The whole point of creating music for her was to give voice to witchcraft spirit that is not normally given voice to, because it's pretty dangerous. 2 years after the band was formed, Lydia quit it to find new source of power.Elvira is an alchemist witch. She made potions and elixirs in her past life and make melodies nowadays, because she doesn't see any differences between music and alchemy. Would you prefer poison or medicine?Max the Sightless Lord Tormentor was and is the only man who was admitted to the goetic female sacrament. Blackthorn call their own style dramatic symphonic metal; the style combines elements of black metal, gothic metal, classical music and original elements of theatre with signature female-led vocals and operatic themes to give the music a feeling of being a symphony. «The Prologue of Eschaton» (demo) was the first act on the Blackthorn Alliance way that spreads the eschatological ideas: erases borders between this world and the other world, destroys the usual and the known and gives birth to the new. The demo consists of three parts, each a complete story in itself, with an overall plot that ties it all together... The plot is magic. Now, after well over a year of very hard work, Blackthorn is incredibly happy and relieved to announce that they have finally gave birth to their first child, «GOSSAMER WITCHCRAFT»! This album is a journey through the pages of Black Book of Shadows and a storyline behind the lyrics is relating to eschaton, again. This time Blackthorn chose cobweb as a symbol, its occult definition is fatality and fragility of mankind, cobwebs also reflect lethality, labyrinth of time, ancient knowledge and the hidden memories that must die…
