About Me
Born on the 23rd day of May, 1984, raised on the beautiful Caribbean isle St. Vincent, standing 5 feet 10 inches, Kellon "Top Notch Swift" Belgraves began his musical journey in 1997 when he was taught the art of being a disc jockey by DJ Clint and Julian "Ju Ju" Payne. He then made his debut on the mixing scene at a Basketball game held at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex in February 1998. He began working part-time at Nice Radio (96.7, 101.3, & 90.3 FM) a few months later on April 4th. Between the hours of 11am and 2pm, Swift, DJ Prime, and Chemical X filled the airwaves with energy, versatility, and charisma. In September 2001, Swift left Nice Radio and began working at Hitz FM (103.7 & 91.5 FM) as a part-time DJ and announcer. In November 2002, he then left Hitz FM to begin working at Hot 97.1 FM full-time. Swift was the Production Assistant, and also and on air personality. However, Swift's time at Hot 97 was short lived, as he resigned and went back to work at Hitz FM in September 2003. While at Hitz FM, Swift also produced Vinceleb; a weekly show that promoted local talent in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He was also the host of Jamz TV; a weekly televised show on SVG TV. Swift hosted many national events, including the National Soca Monarch Competition 2004 & 2005.Kellon Belgraves, known to many as Baby Swift or Top Notch, completed his A.S. Degree in Sound Technology Specialization at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida and is now a certified Audio Engineer. Swift is currently working at Hot 97.1 between the hours of 12pm and 3pm Mondays through Thursdays, Saturdays between 4pm and 8pm, and Sundays from 3pm to 6 pm. You can listen the station online at www.hot97svg.com. When Swift isn't producing music, making his mixes, or remixing a song, he is probably in the studio recording a track. In his leisure time Swift writes and records songs. He presently has five songs recorded to date. Swift has recorded two contributions for Vincy Mas 2008. The songs "Chippin" & "We Doh Care" are currently blazing both the air waves and streets across the island. We Doh Care, after being released, took St. Vincent and the Grenadines by storm with its energy and 'catchy' punch lines. Chippin, on the other hand, didn't take off as much as We Doh Care, but was an instant hit after release. It is mostly referred to as the 'Squeezy' song because of the first verse. TNS made his first ever appearance as an artiste at H2O Soca (Wet Fete) on Saturday 14th June, 2008, and he was commended by many for his well rendered performance.Top Notch Swift (TNS) is back in 2009 showing his consistency by releasing his Vincy Mas hit "Nobody Can Talk to Me." The song was produced by Fryktion, mixed by the Scratch Master, and mastered by himsel. Shaunelle McKenzie also did the backup vocals, giving the song, not only a hard hitting vibe, but also sweetness. You can tune in to your favourite radio station in St. Vincent and hear this song or request it. You can also listen it live here on this page. "Nobody Can Talk to Me" is a song about all those ambitious and productive people who continuously have been hated on, and talked about negatively for their successes in life. If you were a victim of such envy, then this is a good anthem for you!
