Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting me on myspace. My name is Richard Hudson. I am a guitar player and singer. My favorite style of guitar is fingerstyle, Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. My musical roots are deep into gospel music. I learned to play and sing in church; and still do. Music has always been an important part of my life. I am old enough to have Grand kids. Four of them as a matter of fact; three girls and one boy. As you might expect, they are a delight to me.I started recording on a solo basis about 3 years ago. At this writing, I have recorded 4 albums on an independent basis. We are averaging about one new album project every year so far; as well as managing the tire business I founded in 1984. My son, Sean, has assumed ownership of the commercial side of our business, and is doing a remarkable job with it. Someday, my job will be to make coffee in the morning and then stand around in the way the rest of the day while Sean makes things go.My whole life has been spent here in the Sooner State. Born in Seminole, OK and spent the most of my childhood out North of a little town called Konawa, OK. Grade school and high school was at Vamoosa; except for the 7th and 8th grades, which were at a little grade school nearby called Summers Chapel. East Central State College in Ada, OK is the place where I obtained a BS in accounting; however I have had my own business almost from the very beginning, since 1972. Starting in the insurance business, on to the trucking business which evolved into Hudson's Tire Centers, Inc. I travel to play music as much as my schedule will permit. No complaints. Life has been good. We have been in Ardmore, OK since 1977 and have no plans to leave until God decides otherwise.Well, that's it, in a nutshell. Thanks again for stopping by.
