Tina Rodriguez

Channeling sounds from the heavens

About Me

Tina descended from the cosmos on a friday morning, September 24, 1982. Upon her descent, her vocal chords were fashioned and exercised since birth. She can sing any style of music, from Folk to R&B to Opera. She is mostly self-trained in singing, piano and guitar. When she says mostly, it means there were a few years where off and on, she trained with others. Only recently has she been writing and creating music of her own, because she can finally hear the divine guidance and inspiration that has led her to do so. This guidance has led her to be able to work with such great musical minds as Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of Mars Volta. The Omar Rodriguez album: Calibration: is available. She's the first thing you hear on the album! Listen to that, and then she asks you to sit back and listen to these sounds that she has made, and feel free to lend any criticism, feedback, whatever you'd like. She's also had the opportunity to work with the RZA from Wu-Tang Clan and is in their latest video, "While My Heart Gently Weeps feat. Erykah Badu and John Frusciante" (check out the video!) as well as Shavo from System of a Down on his latest project Achozen. Though she loves being a solo act, she loves collaborating with musicians of all kinds. Music is Life (La Musica es La Fuerza Vital!) and it should be shared! She aspires to change the world with her sound, and open hearts and minds to the beauty of this world! She sends much love and light.
