Damn! The Door Is Closed

Something strange happened in 2002. A guy named Bram dreamed of making a band. Several days later he asked his friend Matthias, he's a drummer by the way, to help him to realize his dream.

Matthias’s bedroom was the rehearsal place, not the ideal room, but hey, at least they had one. The songs they played were just more than bad, they sucked big time. They didn't give up and kept on practising and practising. A few weeks later, Bram decided to buy a guitar, and their name changed into Rock-simulation ( they didn't have a lot of inspiration at the time).

After doing some performances a guy came to them and said, 'Guys you're good, but you really need a bassplayer.' The boys didn't know where they should get that bassplayer. Then, like an angel send from heaven, there was Arthuur another guy who was willing to learn the bass.

So they where 3 now ; 1guitar/vocalist, 1bassplayer and 1 drummer. The sounds and songs where great but not perfect, they where missing something. Arthuur’s cousin Jacob played the guitar and he introduced him to the band. Not much later Jacob joined them in the band. Eversince Rock-Simulation was made of 4 men! The band was complete, but that name... it needed something more ...expressive, exceptional , something perfect! And one day, when Matthias bumped against a closed door, the name Damn, The Door is Closed , was born!

DDC (Damn, the Door is Closed) did a lot of gigs including, Music live, Woodrock, they performed at Christmasmarkets. And one day, when they where performing at the 'Kollefeesten' some guy, named Dirk, saw and heard them. From that day on, DDC had a manager and they where allowed to give concerts ( not the big ones of course )

These days, we're good and even trying to get better. One day, when we keep on doing what we do, when we keep on practising, we'll shine on the big concerts! That would be the goal that Bram and Matthias want to reach.

The dream they had so many years ago, to come true…

And oh yes…he did so much for us … this is for you : thanks Dirk, you brought us to where we are now. We have a demo, T-shirts, gigs and so much more.. So we want to say, thanks Dirk, thanks for everything!!
